The
Cebral Palsy Telethon is the main fund raiser for United Cerebral Palsy of
Northwest Alabama. It is held once a year, usually the first weekend in
March, on WHDF TV 15 in Florence. This event is organized by the Florence
Civitan Club and has been successful for 39 years. Many volunteers come
together to make it happen. This years goal was $125,000 and even though
we missed it by about $5000 our telethon expenses were lower by more than
the difference so we are calling it a success.

our volunteer emcees are taking a pledge. We also make sure the children
from the center get on the air (right). We appreciate everyone who comes
together to make our telethon a success each year.
