UCP & Alabama’s Early Intervention System believe in:

 ·      The significant importance in the development of the first
three years of life of each child.

·       Empowering families by supporting them and giving them
resources and tools to help their child.

·       Every child’s individual right to the service they may need.

·       Utilizing each child’s potential through our early intervention
         services.

·       Looking at each individual child’s potential without
limitations and valuing their unique potential.

·       Helping empower and educate the family to help their child.

·      Providing therapy services in the child’s natural surroundings
where they are comfortable and familiar in the home, daycare,
meeting at a park or with other family members.

·      Using a Consultative Model which provides services through
an Early Invention team that includes and values each child’s
          parent or guardian input.

·      Facilitating and working collaboratively with families and
          incorporating community resources.

Collaborating and incorporating the Positive Behavior Support model when needed by developing an individualized support team and specific plan for the child.
